We call this handsome dark brown john mule Coffee. Even at his young age of 4, he has a sweet disposition and a great mind, and, he has his whole life ahead of him. He is quiet and careful, but has a nice fast walk that really covers ground. He rides out by himself without any hesitation or fuss. Coffee is the size everyone is looking for at 15 hands. We have used him for riding and packing and this mule is talented and handy. If you are looking for a show mule, Coffee would make a good one. He knows his leads and will move off your leg. He naturally carries his head nice and low, reins like a horse, has a nice turn around, a great lope and a sliding stop. He will pony another mule or a horse and has lead a short pack string. He has moved cows and has roped in the branding pen. Coffee aced the extreme trail course and he crosses standing or rushing water and any type of bridge safely and carefully. He loads and hauls without issues. We have hunted on him in the precipitous canyons of the Deschutes River in Oregon, trail rode him in the Cascade mountains, scouted elk on him in the Salmon River country and hauled him to Arizona to ride the desert canyons of Yavapai County. Coffee is out of a pretty little large standard jack and a cowhorse bred registered Quarterhorse mare. He is registered with the ADMS. About anyone could get along with this nice john mule. He is friendly as a pet pig, loves everybody, catches you in the pasture and begs to be messed with every day, no matter how hard you work him. He is up to date on hoof care, vaccinations, dewormining and dental care. We’d be happy to show you this nice mule at our ranch in Oregon or come take him for a ride at mule days. Dooey is an exceptional palomino john mule who you may recognize from last year’s sale. He is being offered again due to no fault of his own. His new owner simply bought him thinking she would have time to show him, and she has not had time due to owning too many mules. We were happy to have the chance to re-offer this nice john mule. He has been ridden around by kids, used to gather cattle, used to rope in the branding pen, ridden on the extreme trail course, been hunted on in rough country and trail ridden countless miles in the desert and mountains of Oregon, Arizona, Utah and Idaho. I have let him stand in the pasture for 2 months, threw a saddle on in the middle of a snow storm, stepped on and gathered cattle in the forest with no issues. He is the perfect size at 15 hands and has plenty of substance and bone to carry a heavy rider as far as you want to go. Dooey is sure footed and confident and will cross water, bridges, down trees and rocky terrain without hesitation. He is a steady mule who does not fool around but he does enjoy trail rides and he is a pleasure to ride. He is broke and in the bridle and has a good rein on him. He will spin a hole in the ground, side passes with ease, lopes nice circles, can do flying lead changes, will sit down and stop and will look pretty doing it. He is patient and careful when opening and closing gates and negotiating tricky obstacles. In addition, he is friendly and easy to catch. He rides out alone with absolutely no issues and does just as well in a group. He is happy in a stall or in the pasture, easy to shoe, good around dogs, and good about handling his ears. Dooey would be an asset to any working ranch but would also be a great mule for a casual trail rider. He is up to date on vaccinations, dental and deworming and has had regular hoof care. Dooey is a solid built, well broke, fancy colored, perfect size, no nonsense mule and he is just 10 years old. We would be happy to show him to you here at our ranch before sale week or come take him for a spin at Bryce Canyon Mule Days. We’d love to tell you more about him – call Pam (541) 280-5077 or Matt (541) 280-2885 or drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Reba is a fancy little 8 year old molly mule who is a fun ride at a show or playday and on the trail. She is game for about anything and takes it all in stride without a fuss. She is always the first to greet you at the gate and is happy to be caught and ridden every day, no matter how hard she worked for you the day before. Reba is the same mule every time you take her out. Reba has ponied colts, hunted and ponied a pack mule and moved and sorted cows. She has also spent some time in the show ring and has been hauled and ridden all over the back country. Reba is sure footed and confident and will cross water, bridges, down trees and rocky terrain without hesitation. We have seen about everything on the trail, from backpackers to bighorn sheep and she is not spooky. She is a steady mule who enjoys the trail and is a pleasure to ride. She is broke and in the bridle and has a good rein on her. She has a nice turn around, side passes with ease, lopes nice circles and will sit down and stop. She is patient and careful when opening and closing gates and negotiating tricky obstacles. She rides out alone with absolutely no issues and does just as well in a group. She is happy in a stall or in the pasture. She is super willing and trainable and takes to new jobs like a duck to water. Reba is kind hearted, sensible and smart and would make a wonderful youth or ladies mule. She has excellent ground manners, is good about dogs and gets along with other equines in the pasture. Reba is 14 and a half hands and will weigh approximately 1000 pounds. She is easy to clip, bathe, vaccinate and shoe. She loads right up in any trailer and hauls great. She is up to date on dental, hoof care, deworming and vaccinations. Reba is by the legendary First Choice Colonels Copyright, producer of numerous champions and grandson of the great Texas Scooter. Her mother was a breeding stock paint mare. This mule has been an absolute pleasure to own and ride and I will definitely miss her. Reba is available for you to try out before sale week at our ranch in Oregon, and also at Mule Days the week of the sale. Call Pam (541) 280-5077 or email email@example.com for more information or to come meet Reba.
If you are looking for talent, looks and breeding in the black, look no further. Tall Dark N Foxy, or Jackson, as we call him, is by the legendary jack Clydes Gallant Fox who is arguably one of the most prolific show mule sire of all time. His mother is an appendix quarterhorse daughter of A Major Leaguer, sire of AQHA World & Reserve World Champions & Congress Champions. Jackson is 15.1 and 1200 pounds. He is probably the most friendly and gentle 6 year old john mule you will ever meet. He catches you in the pasture or in the pen. He is quiet and patient and will stand tied quietly all day. Jackson is a naturally brave mule who does not spook easily and is game to go pretty much anywhere you ask him. Ride him in and pack him out. He will pack anything including deer and elk. He has been hunted and packed in the roughest country and he is perfectly comfortable with just his rider and no other mules or horses. There isn’t much that scares Jackson and he is quiet and careful out on the trail alone or in a group. He is soft in the bridle and very broke. He handles like a stock horse but has a jog, trot and lope like a show horse. Mules like Jackson rarely come available. When they are this talented, gentle and pretty, people usually just don’t sell them. He will load in any trailer and hauls great. In fact, be careful he might just load into the backseat of your minivan. Jackson is up to date on dental, vaccinations, deworming and hoof care. He is easy to clip, shoe, bathe, vaccinate and deworm. Come try him at our ranch in Bend, Oregon or ride him at Bryce Canyon Mule Days. We would love to show him to you and tell you more about his adventures. He will be literally used for everything you can do mule back until the sale. He is just that handy.
